Turning old wind turbine blades into desert sand barriers
KeAi Communications Co., Ltd.
A study published in International Soil and Water Conservation Research shows that sand barriers made from recycled wind turbine blades are highly durable and effective against desertification. These barriers have 14 times the bending strength and 56% lower erosion rate than traditional materials, with an optimal porosity of 20%. This innovation addresses both environmental waste and desertification challenges.
