Insilico Medicine (“Insilico”), a clinical stage generative artificial intelligence (AI)-driven biotechnology company has recently announced the breakthrough study achieved in collaboration with a well-known university in Hong Kong. Targeting endometriosis, a condition that affects more than 190 million women worldwide, the researchers used Insilico’s PandaOmics, the artificial intelligence-driven platform, to identify two novel therapeutic targets and a FDA approved drug as a potential repurposed treatment option. The findings were published in December 2024 in Advanced Science（IF=15.1）.

The Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative (DAC), a pioneering worldwide initiative seeking to cure Alzheimer’s disease and improve brain health, today announced the launch of its Brain Health Navigator program. The initiative led by the DAC Healthcare System Preparedness (DAC-SP) team will provide resources for patients and providers at six sites across the U.S. 

An international study published in the journal Nature Mental Health has identified three psychological profiles associated with different patterns of cognitive and brain decline in ageing. The study, which analysed more than 1,000 middle-aged and older adults, shows that the specific psychological characteristics of each profile may influence the risk of developing dementia, as well as aspects such as the speed of brain decline and sleep quality. These findings open new perspectives for the design of more personalized prevention strategies.
