Take the weight off weight: what the HAES approach reveals in the short and long term
Escuela Superior Politecnica del LitoralFor decades, the conversation around obesity has had a single protagonist: body weight. The classic formula “eat less and move more” may generate initial changes, but the problem arises when the script demands sustainable endings. Evidence shows that many individuals regain weight in the years that follow if lifestyle changes are not maintained, fueling a cycle of frustration, stigma and disengagement from healthcare. In response to this scenario the Health at Every Size (HAES) approach proposes a paradigm shift: focusing on health and well being behaviors without positioning weight loss as the primary goal.

Opportunities and challenges of brain-on-a-chip interfaces
Beijing Institute of Technology Press Co., LtdA review paper by scientists from Tianjin University presented light on brain-on-a-chip interfaces (BoCIs)—a groundbreaking technology that fuses lab-grown biological neural networks with electronic systems to enable bidirectional information exchange.
The new research paper, published on Jun. 17 in the journal Cyborg and Bionic Systems, presented a systematic categorization and detailed characterization of Brain-on-a-Chip Interfaces (BoCIs). It discusses the interaction methods employed in lab-grown brain models, followed by an exploration of hybrid intelligence research based on BoCIs.- Journal

Despicable role of epithelial–mesenchymal transition in breast cancer metastasis: Exhibiting de novo restorative regimens
Chinese Medical Journals Publishing House Co., Ltd.Highlights
•Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) induces phenotypic changes necessary for tumor cell survival and progression.
•Other cell populations, such as fibroblasts, immune and hypoxic cells, introduce EMT-promoting factors.
•Stress-related stimuli such as hypoxia, chemotherapy, and nutrient deprivation promote EMT in tumors.
