A special bike support enables athletes to pedal on their bikes while positioned in the test section over the weighing system. The bike’s wheels are placed on rollers while the forks are securely fixed to ensure optimal stability during testing. A mechanical connection allows both wheels to spin at the same speed throughout the test.
This setup also allows for testing bikes without a rider, either with or without spinning wheels. Additionally, with a dedicated configuration, it’s possible to isolate and measure the forces acting solely on a rotating wheel, providing detailed insights into wheel-specific aerodynamics.
