On March 24, 2026, Professor Sergio Bernardini, Secretary of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) and Associate Editor of LabMed Discovery (LMD), visited the LMD editorial office following his visit to Ruijin Hospital. The visit provided an opportunity for in-depth discussion on the journal’s future development and its role in advancing international academic collaboration.

 

During the visit, the editorial team introduced the journal’s current progress, editorial workflow, and strategic plans for growth. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the journal’s international presence by expanding its global editorial board, increasing high-quality submissions, and fostering closer collaboration with leading researchers and institutions worldwide.

 

Professor Sergio highlighted the importance of proactive academic publishing, encouraging the journal to actively organize thematic issues, international forums, and collaborative initiatives to engage the global laboratory medicine community. He also expressed his continued support in promoting LabMed Discovery internationally through academic networks, conferences, and partnerships.

 

The visit further reinforced the shared commitment to building LabMed Discovery into a high-impact international platform for laboratory medicine. By deepening collaboration in academic publishing and global outreach, both sides aim to enhance knowledge exchange and contribute to the advancement of the field worldwide.
