Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (JICV), a leading international journal for research on intelligent and connected vehicle technologies, announces its transition to open access publishing on SciOpen, the advanced digital platform of Tsinghua University Press.

After the completion of Volume 8 (2025) with IEEE, JICV will begin its new publishing phase with Tsinghua University Press from Volume 9 (2026). All future issues will be hosted on the SciOpen platform, with the official journal website accessible at:

This strategic move is designed to further the journal’s mission of providing barrier-free access to cutting-edge research, fostering greater global collaboration, and leveraging modern publishing infrastructure to better serve authors and readers.

About Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles

Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (JICV) was launched in 2018, with academic support provided by the School of Vehicle and Mobility of Tsinghua University. The Editors-in-Chief are Academician Keqiang Li and Professor Jianqiang Wang from Tsinghua University, and the Executive Editor-in-Chief is Professor Xiaobo Qu from Tsinghua University. The journal is the first fully open access English academic journal independently founded in China with intelligent vehicles as the theme, covering high-quality, original research and review articles on various aspects of intelligent connected vehicle technology, aiming to provide a high-end academic exchange platform for scholars engaged in intelligent connected vehicle and traffic related fields of technology research worldwide. It has been indexed in ESCI, Ei Compendex, Scopus, Inspec,DOAJ, ProQuest and other databases, and was rated as a high-quality scientific journal in the field of automotive engineering in China-T1 category in January 2021.In 2023, it was selected as a high-starting-point new journal project of the “China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan”.
