The Longevity Education Hub is proud to announce the official launch of its Brazilian chapter, marking an important milestone in providing credible, high-quality education in Healthy Longevity Medicine. The flagship course of Longevity Education Hub - the Healthy Longevity Medicine 101, has been fully updated, translated, and recorded in Portuguese by Dr. Fabiano Serfaty and Fernanda Calvo-Fortes.
For the first time, physicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students across Brazil and the Portuguese-speaking world can access this accredited course free of charge. This effort represents the first step toward broader integration of Healthy Longevity Medicine education within medical curricula, with the long-term vision of embedding it into structured medical training and continuing professional development worldwide. In Veja, Brazil’s most widely read weekly magazine, a recent piece explored the future of longevity medicine and highlighted Brazil’s potential role in shaping this new medical specialty (https://vejario.abril.com.br/coluna/fabiano-serfaty/construindo-futuro-confiavel-na-medicina-da-longevidade-com-educacao/). Dr. Evelyne Bischof, co-founder of the Longevity Education Hub, emphasized the significance of this launch: “I am beyond grateful and thrilled to see this new massive chapter coming true and shared with the dynamic and rapidly evolving country of Brazil. I have seen brilliant work all over Brazil, including during my visit, and it is inspiring to witness how strongly the medical community here is embracing longevity medicine as a discipline.”
This development builds on international collaborations between leading physicians and educators in the field including at two of Latin America’s most significant medical events: the 53ª Convenção Nacional Unimed, and the Future of Medicine event, where longevity medicine was spotlighted as an emerging discipline.
“As populations age, the gap between lifespan and healthspan widens. Healthy Longevity Medicine seeks to close that gap by applying biomarker-driven monitoring, preventive strategies, and translational geroscience,” said Dr. Fabiano Serfaty in his recent commentary for Veja Rio. “Education is the foundation of this effort. By equipping physicians with the latest tools and knowledge, we can build a more reliable future in longevity medicine.” said Fernanda Calvo-Fortes. The launch of the Brazilian chapter is expected to accelerate the integration of longevity-focused education into medical practice across Lusophone countries. With this step, the Longevity Education Hub continues its mission of making cutting-edge knowledge accessible globally, empowering physicians to deliver care that not only extends life but also optimizes healthspan.
