Tufted Titmouse Rules the Roost

Mixed flocks feature a "leader" species, which in North Florida is the tufted titmouse, Baeolophus bicolor. While it can be a bossy blabbermouth, the titmouse also plays an important role in keeping the flock safe by sounding the alarm if a predator approaches.
