View into the SAPHiR multi-anvil press at the Research Neutron Source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). With a pressure of 1 GPa at 1300 °C the research team simulated the collision of two celestial bodies. In a first, they succeeded in experimentally reproducing the structures of all types of pallasites.
