How AWCD Detects and Disables Misleading Expert Guidance (IMAGE)
Caption
▲(Left) When a researcher advises the AI to “avoid these conditions,” the AI uses this guidance to begin its experimental search.
▲(Center) As experimental data accumulate, the AI may identify promising results in the previously discouraged region, detecting a conflict between expert guidance and experimental evidence.
▲(Right) Once sufficient contradictory evidence is obtained, the adaptive weight credibility detection (AWCD) mechanism automatically disables the misleading guidance, allowing the AI to explore previously avoided conditions and recover optimization performance.
▲When the expert guidance is accurate, AWCD keeps the prior knowledge active, preserving the acceleration benefits of knowledge-guided optimization.
