How TADF enables highly efficient OLEDs (IMAGE)
Caption
Conventional fluorescent materials utilize only 25% of excitons for light emission, as the remaining 75% are triplets that cannot directly emit light. Through molecular design that reduces the energy gap between singlet and triplet states, TADF converts these triplet excitons into emissive singlet excitons using thermal energy, enabling nearly 100% exciton utilization in theory.
