Dot Animations (VIDEO)
Caption
Researchers have found that activity in the motor cortex that occurs when people watch someone else perform an action is tied to how human-like the action looks. Dot animations varied from somewhat human-like to random blobs. The more human-like animations resulted in more activity in the motor cortex.
