Through an integrated team including research and Extension faculty, a graduate student mentor and a county Extension agent, undergraduates in F.U.S.E. Animal Science will experience both the process of generating scientific knowledge and translating that knowledge into practical applications for producers, industry and other agricultural stakeholders. Co-project lead Jennie Ivey, a professor of animal science, is shown instructing students on the bone structure of horses.
