Rushikesh Lagad, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Animal Science, co-authored the study to develop a machine learning method of distinguishing disease-causing strains of Enterococcus cecorum from nonpathogenic ones. The department is in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas.
