Professor YongKeun Park’s research group at KAIST develops advanced optical imaging and computational microscopy technologies for visualizing three-dimensional (3D) structures. Its research spans quantitative phase imaging, holotomography, label-free 3D microscopy, wavefront shaping, computational imaging, and AI-assisted optical measurement, integrating physics, optical engineering, numerical modeling, and machine learning. The group develops methods to measure biological and physical systems using intrinsic optical information rather than conventional labels. Its work enables high-resolution imaging of live cells and tissues while advancing optical field reconstruction and control. The holographic telepresence study extends these principles toward realistic 3D optical communication and future display technologies.
