Prof. Izabella Uchmanowicz, PhD, RN is Professor and Head of the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. Her research focuses on cardiovascular disease prevention, heart failure, cardiovascular nursing, self-care, health literacy, patient-reported outcomes, and integrated care. She is a co-author of the expert statement on heart failure prevention published in the European Heart Journal. She serves on several international scientific committees and is actively involved in developing European recommendations and expert statements in cardiovascular medicine.
