Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydropower Testing Network (HyTN) as a testing provider to help the industry develop and demonstrate new technologies. HyTN links hydropower developers with testing facilities and experts across the country, including access to SwRI’s computational fluid dynamics (CFD) expertise for steady state and transient performance modeling of power turbines.
