Anti-tumor efficacy demonstrated in a mouse model. (a) Changes in tumor size over the course of treatment. Blue triangles indicate days of nanoparticle injection; black arrows indicate days of laser irradiation. (b) Survival rates over 40 days following treatment. All mice that received the newly developed nanoparticles combined with laser irradiation survived throughout the entire 40-day observation period (100% survival rate). In contrast, mice in all other treatment groups did not survive to day 40.
