Photo-responsive supramolecular assemblies yield subcellular delivery into the nucleus via singlet oxygen-mediated cytosolic translocation and elevated nuclear envelope permeability. (IMAGE)
Caption
Light-responsive supramolecular nanoassemblies promote nuclear membrane lipid peroxidation and downregulation of the nuclear lamina protein Lamin B1 via reactive oxygen species generation, thereby increasing nuclear envelope permeability, accelerating intranuclear accumulation of chemotherapeutic drugs, and effectively suppressing tumor growth and metastasis.
