Simulated neutron energy correlations at 0° (a), 30° (b), 60° (c), 90° (d), 120° (e), 150° (f) and 180° (g).

Caption

The simulated neutron energy correlations vary with angle. For the correlated events at near 90°, the energy of the second neutron tends toward lower values, whereas for the correlated events at near 0° or 180°, it tends toward higher values. These trends become more pronounced as the energy of the first neutron increases.
