Stretching a 3D printed, multimaterial with hard and soft regions (VIDEO)

Using an affordable 3D printer and the CRAFT method, researchers created a tensile bar with stiff regions and three softer regions. As it is stretched apart the softest region, labeled 1 stretches first, then region 2, then finally region 3.
