Evolution of nuclear deformation in $_{\Lambda }^{21}Ne$ as a function of temperature.

The quadrupole deformation of the nucleus decreases steadily with increasing temperature, indicating the suppression of nuclear shape under thermal excitation. Both the most probable deformations and the thermal averages suggest a smooth transition toward a less deformed configuration at higher temperatures.
