Watching the battle: Advanced imaging shows how brain immune cells (microglia shown in green) either destroy or support cancer seed cells (orange). By blocking "don't eat me" signals (CD24/CD47) or modifying cellular signals (TGF-β), researchers can reprogram microglia to destroy tumors instead of supporting them.
