Advancements in cavity-based superconducting qubits (IMAGE)
Caption
Cavity-based superconducting qubits are propelling the field of quantum information science forward with their applications in quantum error correction (QEC) and modular quantum computation. A limited set of examples is highlighted in this illustration. For QEC, cavity-based qubits are utilized in the development of bosonic codes, which enhance the fault tolerance of quantum systems. Additionally, they play a vital role in modular quantum computation by facilitating the execution of teleported CNOT gates and enabling the use of SNAIL (superconducting nonlinear asymmetric inductive element)-based couplers to establish robust quantum networks.
