Joseph Fraietta, PhD, assistant professor of Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania is a Swim Across America gene editing grant recipient through the Swim's beneficiary Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT). Fraietta has been awarded a $450,000 grant from Swim Across America for novel gene and base editing techniques used in advanced cancer research, including targeted therapies, immunotherapies and cellular therapies.
