Figure 3: This model suggests that by CRISPR editing to remove the MYB binding site 1 on the GhCKI promoter, the MYB4 and GhMYB73 that positively regulate GhCKI expression under HT conditions are unable to activate GhCKI expression under HT. Without the HT-induced expression of GhCKI, its expression levels remain moderate under HT, thereby improving the heat tolerance of cotton.NT, normal temperature; HT, high temperature.
