This figure illustrates the key parameters influencing the Seebeck coefficient in ionic thermoelectric materials. The number of rotatable chemical bonds in ions critically impacts the Seebeck coefficient by affecting ion diffusion coefficients, while the octanol-water partition coefficient of ions determines their adsorption energy with the matrix material, thereby influencing the Seebeck coefficient. Figures f and g validate these findings through molecular dynamics simulations. The final figure shows the effectiveness of directly predicting the Seebeck coefficient of ionic thermoelectric materials using the sum of these two parameters.
