A view inside the spadix of Morphy, Dartmouth’s 21-year-old corpse flower, shows its reproductive parts. When the flower bloomed in 2016, Dartmouth researchers collected tissue samples to perform RNA sequence analyses and determine the role genes play in the species’ pungent odor.
