Mathematics encompasses vast fields that developed in total isolation, each with its own ‘undecipherable’ coded language. But can mathematicians find effective ways to bridge these isolated mathematical continents?

With his new tool ‘big algebras’, ISTA professor Tamás Hausel constructed a dictionary of abstract math that comes one step closer to bridging the math behind quantum physics with number theory.
