The Simulation-Based Inference of Galaxies, or SimBIG, allows astronomers to leverage artificial intelligence techniques to better estimate key properties of the universe. This video compares the distribution of galaxies in a simulated universe used to train SimBIG (right) to the galaxy distribution seen in the real universe (left).
