Comparison of DNA Replication Mechanism in ES and non-ES cells (IMAGE)
Caption
Mouse ES cells present active origin firing and replication forks that progress slowly throughout S phase. These features are integral aspects of genome replication ensuring genome integrity in ES cells. On the other hand, non-ES cells initially present slow forks with frequent fork pausing, which then accelerate and reduce fork pausing as S phase proceeds.
