Using live cell imaging microscopy, the scientists observed the formation of connections between neurons and microglia. The video above shows the formation of TNTs between a neuron and microglia and the transfer of alpha-synuclein aggregates (red arrow) in living primary cells.
This video was filmed using in vitro live cell imaging.
