Recently, the 2025 Volume 1, Issue 2 of Materials and Solidification, an English academic journal dedicated to the field of materials and solidification, has been officially published. Co-sponsored by Tsinghua University Press and academically supported by the State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing (SKLSP) at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), the journal is led by Professor Jinshan Li (from SKLSP, NPU) as Editor-in-Chief and Professor Junjie Wang (also from SKLSP, NPU) as Executive Editor-in-Chief. It aims to build a high-level academic exchange platform for researchers and engineering technology experts worldwide, promoting the research and development of solidification theory, material design, microstructure evolution, process innovation, and related fields.
Circular Economy has been officially included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) by Web of Science, a leading global provider of scientific and scholarly research information.
SciOpen, a digital publishing platform for scientific, technical, and medical (STM) journals developed by Tsinghua University Press, has recently reached a major milestone: it now hosts more than 200 journals. This achievement not only highlights its strong capacity to attract high-quality journals, but also reflects its growing success in enhancing the global visibility of local journals. SciOpen has also drawn interest from international recognized institutions such as the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) and Tech Science Press.
In August, the first issue of Volume 31 of Tsinghua Science and Technology was released on SciOpen, an academic publishing platform developed by Tsinghua University Press. This move marks a new chapter for the journal.
Materials and Solidification, an international journal dedicated to advancing research in solidification theory, materials design, and processing technology, has officially launched its inaugural issue. Published by Tsinghua University Press and supported by the State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing, Northwestern Polytechnical University, the journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Jinshan Li and Executive Editor Prof. Junjie Wang. It aims to serve as a high-level academic platform for global researchers and engineers to drive innovations in solidification science and its industrial applications.
On June 18, 2025, Clarivate released the 2025 Journal Citation Reports™ (JCR™). Eighteen English-language STM journals published by Tsinghua University Press received a Journal Impact Factor (JIF), with 13 (72.2%) journals ranking in the Q1 quartile.
Tsinghua University Press (TUP) and American Institute of Mathematical Sciences Press (AIMS) have forged a new collaboration to bring 12 of AIMS's esteemed STM journals to SciOpen.
On June 3, Elsevier released the 2024 CiteScore rankings, featuring 33 Tsinghua University Press (TUP) journals--a 17.2% increase in indexed titles compared to 2023.
Nano Research Energy has been selected for inclusion in the Web of Science™ (Emerging Sources Citation Index).
