This movie shows the structure of Cascade, a key protein comlpex in the microbial immune system. Here, the conformation of Cascade’s subunits - CasA (purple), CasB (yellow) and CasE (magenta) – are shown being rearranged while the helical spine of the complex remains relatively undisturbed.
