The top PET/CT image is the patient's initial scan while holding his breath, suggesting severe coronary artery disease (blue areas). The middle scan, in which the patient was breathing normally rather than holding his breath, still indicates some heart disease (green areas). The bottom image, with the modified software, indicates normal blood flow to these areas with the only real abnormality being a small scar (blue) on the back of the heart.
