Doctoral student Carly P. Smith, left, and Jennifer Freyd, professor of psychology, both of the University of Oregon, have designed a new research tool for evaluating institutional betrayal. Using it, they found heightened effects of post-traumatic trauma in women reporting unwanted sexual experiences.
