Near-Infrared Holography and Extended Sample-Sensor Distance Enhance Lensless Imaging (IMAGE)
Caption
Seeing what visible light loses. Amplitude (left) and phase (right) reconstructions of the same unstained, uncleared 30-µm-thick mouse liver section. Each image is split between 532 nm illumination (upper region) and 1100 nm illumination (lower region). Visible light largely preserves the tissue outline, whereas near-infrared illumination reveals internal trabecular patterns and vascular pathways.
