Andreas Menzel from the Center for Photon Science and Liliana Duarte from the Center for Nuclear Engineering and Sciences are two of the PSI researchers who carried out high-precision analyses of fuel rod cladding tubes. They found that the material remains leak-tight even after years in operation.
