Targeting phospholipase Pla2g15 reduces long-chain BMP phospholipids abundance and senescence in kidney cells (IMAGE)
Caption
Figure 5. Mechanism of Pla2g15 knockout. Doxorubicin-induced senescence is characterized by elevated long-chain BMP species, increased G2/M cell-cycle arrest, and pronounced mitochondrial and lysosomal stress. In contrast, Pla2g15-deficient cells exposed to doxorubicin show reduced accumulation of long-chain BMP lipids, improved mitochondrial and lysosomal health, and an overall attenuation of the senescence phenotype.
