Model simulation of how a young dune area can organize itself spatially over time. Left: marram grass; right: the dune bodies that it builds. The animation was made with a simple mathematical model of sand captured by dune grass, based on the theory of Siteur et al. (2023) and manually tuned with the study system on Texel.
