A microwave Rayleigh scattering-based diagnostic system was developed to measure the transient signals of explosion-generated plasmas from microscale HMX charges. Combined with thermodynamic calculations and finite element simulations, the time-dependent density evolution of the explosion-generated plasma was obtained, providing insights into the formation and dynamic evolution mechanisms of plasmas under microscale explosive conditions.
