Perovskite energetic materials (PEMs) are emerging energetic compounds featuring tunable crystal frameworks that balance energy density, thermal stability and safety. This review comprehensively covers experimental advances, computational explorations including machine-learning approaches, site-dependent structure-property relationships, and desensitization modification strategies. Critical bottlenecks are highlighted, and cross-validation between computation and experiment is proposed to accelerate their practical energetic-system applications.
