Design strategy for the ZLVP cathode. The lattice of Li₃V₂(PO₄)₃ lacks sufficient open space to accommodate Zn2+ ions. Li+ ions are chemically extracted to create vacant sites and enlarge diffusion channels, allowing for Zn2+ to be reintroduced into these openings. This pre-zincification yields a robust framework with exceptional durability of over 5,000 cycles.
