A: Bhutanitis thaidina, B: Troides aeacus, C: Luehdorfia chinensis huashanensis Butterflies, radiant and diverse insects, are praised as flowers in flight. They are among nature's most effective indicators of environmental health. A new study published in Insect Science shows that different groups of butterflies respond in unique ways to habitat loss, climate, and human activity, helping scientists better understand the health of ecosystems.
