Molecular pathway linking Kdf1 mutation to defective enamel formation (IMAGE)
Caption
Researchers showed that a Kdf1 mutation disrupts cell-adhesion complexes in enamel-forming cells, alters Hippo pathway regulation, and increases nuclear YAP activity, leading to abnormal ameloblast behavior and defective enamel formation.
