Axl–Erk1/2–Isg15 Signaling in Osteoblast Differentiation (IMAGE)
Caption
The study suggests that AXL receptor tyrosine kinase (Axl) acts as a negative regulator of osteoblast differentiation by suppressing Erk1/2 phosphorylation and reducing Isg15 expression. Blocking Axl may reverse these effects, promoting bone formation and increasing bone mass in preclinical models.
