Fig. 1 Schematic of parallel multi-modal imaging enabled by the proposed metalens. The meta-device modulates the incident object light field and generates three spatially separated imaging channels at the same focal plane, corresponding to bright-field imaging (Channel 1), first-order edge-enhanced imaging (Channel 2), and second-order edge-enhanced imaging (Channel 3). Under LP illumination, three focused responses with different vortex orders (topological charges l = 0, 1 and 2 for Channels 1–3, respectively) are formed in a common focal plane. Under oblique incidence, the three focal patterns move laterally while remaining distinguishable.
