Multi-frequency electromagnetic wave absorption performance of SiC/Ce5Si4/Pr5Si4 composites (IMAGE)

The ternary SiC/Ce5Si4/Pr5Si4 composite achieves a remarkable reflection loss of −64.67 dB at 8.24 GHz and demonstrates strong electromagnetic wave absorption across multiple frequency bands. We propose that introducing rare-earth elements Ce and Pr into the SiC matrix enables the construction of a ternary heterostructure absorber rich in heterointerfaces. This material exhibits greatly enhanced polarization loss, effectively breaking through the limitations of conventional SiC absorbers in multi-band electromagnetic wave absorption.
