Sites were categorized into three disturbance levels based on the Integrated Disturbance Index (IDI): least-disturbed (green), intermediate (yellow), and disturbed (red). Black polygons indicate drainage boundaries. The regional map shows the study area's location within the Paraná and São Francisco River Basins in relation to South America. Drainage networks are shown in blue.
