Biological differences among agricultural fungicide-induced evolved strains (IMAGE)
Caption
Stably drug-resistant strains were screened and obtained via serial in vitro passaging under the stress of stepwise gradient drug concentrations (left panel). The resulting drug-resistant strains exhibited significant phenotypic heterogeneity in colony morphology and cell size. Whole-genome copy number variation (CNV) analysis of all strains revealed that all drug-resistant strains harbored segmental chromosomal amplifications of varying degrees.
